Hi there, and welcome to the very first issue of "Tyler Talks"!

My name is Tyler McNamer, and I’m thrilled to have you here as part of our growing community at AutismWorks. Whether you're a parent, caregiver, therapist, teacher, doctor, or someone living with autism, this space is for you. Our goal is to create a supportive and informative environment where we can all learn from each other, share our experiences, and work together to make life better for everyone in the autism community.

Why "Tyler Talks"?

You might be wondering what inspired me to start this newsletter. The answer is simple: I believe in the power of conversation. Throughout my journey as an author and advocate, I've seen firsthand how important it is to have open, honest discussions about the challenges and triumphs we face. "Tyler Talks" is a space where we can explore topics that matter to you and your family, especially as they relate to autism.

What You Can Expect

Each week, I’ll be sharing insights, tips, and stories that I hope will resonate with you. Here’s a sneak peek of some of the topics we’ll cover in the coming weeks:

  • Parenting Strategies: Practical tips for raising a child on the autism spectrum.
  • Health & Fitness: How to incorporate healthy habits into your daily routine, even when life gets hectic.
  • Navigating Education: Advice on working with schools and educators to create the best learning environment for your child.
  • Community Stories: Real-life experiences from families and individuals within our community.
  • Latest Research: Updates on the newest findings in autism research and what they mean for you.

Join the Conversation

"Tyler Talks" is more than just a newsletter—it's a dialogue. I’d love to hear from you! If you have questions, suggestions, or topics you'd like us to cover, don’t hesitate to reach out. Your feedback is invaluable and will help shape the content we deliver each week.

Stay Tuned!

Look out for "Tyler Talks" in your inbox every Tuesday at Ten, where we’ll dive into topics that are both meaningful and actionable. Whether you’re looking for guidance, inspiration, or just a friendly voice, I’m here to support you on this journey.

Tyler McNamer

I pick one tool, use it fully, and reassess. Tool 1: 4–6 Breathing (downshift the nervous system) Inhale through nose for 4 ...
Emotional Regulation Week—Day 2: Catch It Early (Warning Signs)
Hello AutismWorks Community, Yesterday I mapped triggers. Today I’m dialing in the early warning signs—the subtle signals that show up before I hit overwhelm. These are examples—pick the ones that actually happen to you. Body (Physiological): ja...

Hello AutismWorks Community, To kick off Emotional Regulation & Resilience Week, I’m starting where progress actually begins: knowing what sets me off.
