Would You Like to Understand Your Loved One? Do You Want to Help Them Lead a Better Life?

Tyler has dedicated his life to help people with Autism

Tyler McNamer is all of 19 years old but his experience and insights transcend his age. Since the age of 2, when Tyler was diagnosed with autism, he has faced insurmountable obstacles in living a normal life and he has chronicled the heartrending journey in his book Population ONE: Autism, Adversity, and the Will to Succeed.

A part memoir, part inspirational guide, this book is an invaluable asset to parents and grandparents, loved ones, caregivers, therapists and anyone who's ever cared for a person with autism.

While most books look at autism from the perspective of doctors or caretakers, very rarely have we been privy to the thoughts and feelings of someone with autism. This book strives to change that, giving you a front row seat to Tyler's life, mind, and his special way of looking at the world.

Rather than viewing his condition as a handicap, or worse, wallowing in self pity, Tyler McNamer offers a unique perspective from his extraordinary mindset where autism is regarded as a gift that empowers him to think and process things differently.

Population One follows his journey as he faces challenges and adversity with an unbridled determination to succeed, offering hope to thousands of people around the world.

And that it does.

Along with oodles of encouragement to follow your dreams, confront your fears and become the leader of your life. Tyler doesn't just recount his inspiring journey but elucidates his thoughts on diverse topics of leadership, courage, relationships and more.

The world as I see it

How I Learned To Succeed With Autism

"I've been called a retard, dumb, and disabled. I've been bullied, picked on, and made fun of. They put me in "special" classes, and told me that I should not expect to reach my goals.'

Hi, My name is Tyler McNamer and I did not listen to them. I was diagnosed with autism when I was 2 and I've heard such vile stuff over the years. Yet here I am 17 years later, a successful author and motivational speaker working on a second book and on my website AUTISMWORKS.com.

But it hadn't been a smooth ride by any stretch of imagination, and there were weeks when I felt lonely and depressed, praying at least one person would understand what I was going through. But rarely did anyone ever break through that wall, despite their love and affection.

That is why when I was 17, I decided to write this book - Population One: Autism, Adversity, and the Will to Succeed.

See most people like me do not have a voice, and the people who love us and take care of us, do not fully understand what we're going through. My goal is to help improve the lives of people with autism, and those who care for them.

I have become stronger because of the personal attacks, and more confident in my life as others have placed limitations on me. As a result, I am dedicating my life to serving and inspiring others who are different so they also can achieve their goals and blossom into the people they are true capable of becoming

I believe that each one of us is different and unique, yet these differences are what makes us whole. When we become a population of one, uniting to serve one another, we can truly make this world a happier place.

AutismWork is dedicated to transforming disability into an unique ability by helping to make autism more workable, by enhancing the lives of people with autism, and those who love them, through online education, celebration, inspiration, diversity, and inclusion.

Love, Tyler
